Whats the right viscosity of oil to use for my 97 Ford Probe Gt V6? should I use 10W30? or 5W30?

5w30 is what is recommended but if you have a lot of miles then probably wouldnt hurt to use 10w30.Whats the right viscosity of oil to use for my 97 Ford Probe Gt V6? should I use 10W30? or 5W30?
I've used 5W20 on my old BMW.

I'm a big fan of 10W40.Whats the right viscosity of oil to use for my 97 Ford Probe Gt V6? should I use 10W30? or 5W30?
RTFM
Source says 5W30. But is up to you with what you'd be comfortable with.
depends do you live in the north or south, in the north you want a lower viscosity, there are alot of veritables in engine types that you should use ,in the south u can use a heaver type , and by the way THE W stands for winter not weight, low mileage id use moble 1,check with agood mech
5w30 is recomended for both 4 cylinder engine's as well as 6 cylinder's but 10w30 would be ok..there's not a whole lot of difference between the two..just that 5w30 can withstand more heat..i have used both in my 6 cylinder's and both seem to work well..maybe if you used 5w30 in summer and 10w30 in winter . would be ok
5W30 I what I use in all of my Fords.
5W30
