Oil -whats correct viscosity?

My tacoma chatters when engine cold and temps are below 40F

It lasts 1 minute and is gone

Only a winter event

Im running 10 W 30

Should I go down to 5w 30????

100K on truckOil -whats correct viscosity?
I would, either that, or just warm it up, but that would take up a lot of fuel.Oil -whats correct viscosity?
check your owners manual but i believe 5w30 is correct oil all year for that vehicle, mitsubishi has lifter problems and they did a cleaning with 0w30 oil at higher (2000 rpms) for 20 mins or so and then drain and refill with proper oil, might want to consider this if 5w30 isn't the answer. oil filter drain back is a problem with some filters make sure your purchasing oil filters with anti drain back valves installed, fram is the worst for this.
SUPPOSED TO HAVE 5W30. KEEP 10W30 START USING A QUART OR PERHAPS UPON TRIAL ADD 2 QUARTS OF LUCAS OIL TREATMENT. the stuff is incredible. buy it by the gallon. get a gallon for the price of 3 quarts.no ifs ans nor buts it will make it last for another 100000

not ams oil not stp not nothing.

LUCAS
5-w-30 is lot better oil to run in cold weather its a thinner oil and gets circulated through the engine a lot faster, and its a better winter oil to run in any vehicle,i use it year round in mine, good luck.
