Depends on the oil. Motor oil actually acts opposite natural oil. It gets thinner with cold temperatures so it will flow better, and thicker when it's hot so it will protect better.
I guess u could demonstrate how oil works in engines and then experiment with each oil type...ie(10-w30) or (5w-30) and then the effect each oil type has on an engine during a given environment. Certain viscosities are better for warm or cold weather.
As far as an expeiment is concerned, I really cant tell you what to do..be creative!
